The Town Council runs one small allotment site next to the River Lugg at the bottom of its Went’s Meadow site. The site is organic and use of weedkiller or pesticides is not permitted.
There are 36 small plots available and the Council maintains a waiting list. You can download an application form here. Once you apply you will receive confirmation of receipt and your current place on the waiting list.
The allotment year starts in March. Current rent is £28 per year and a deposit of £28 is also required.
The site has an active Allotment Association and tenants can join this organisation separately if they wish.
